A series of suspicious suicides draws Paul Decker and Washington Star reporter Rebecca Novak together to investigate. What starts out as a local issue morphs into a conspiracy of such magnitude as to pit them against a group that wants nothing more than to establish a new world order: one government, one military, one currency, one education system.
The group, known as “The Order”, is headed by a man said to be 115 years old and involved in every war, assassination and *coup d état since 1914.
As much as logic tells Paul and Rebecca that the facts they have gathered, and conclusions drawn, are sending them down a worm hole, the forces aligned against them grow as the two get closer to the core of the group.
Rebecca has gathered information from researchers and insiders to compile an exposé on “The Order.” Many of those people are subsequently killed after risking their live to expose the agenda of the group.
“The Order” will go to any lengths to silence their detractors. And now that Rebecca has compiled a dossier, their efforts zero in on her and Paul as the date of publication draws near.
It is only with the combined effort of Paul’s East European hacker, a few brave members of the Washington, DC police department, one brave U.S. Senator and some concerned citizens willing to risk their lives, that enables Paul and Rebecca to expose the group, their sordid agenda and cut off the head of their leadership.
My story is based on an actual, operational group. “The New World Order” or NWO is an all too real movement whose goal is to replace sovereign nation-states with a one-government, one currency, one military entity.
“The Order” (104,364 words), resides at the intersection of journalism / crime fiction / narrative nonfiction.
