You know what’s going to happen with A.I.? Let me answer a question with a question. You remember what happened on Dec. 31st, 1999? All the computers were going to crash. All systems dependent on computer world crash. No heat, no water, no electricity. The end of times as foretold in the Bible.
The same thing is going to happen with A.I I’ve read all the fear-monger books, including the one most notable: Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom. Doomsday scenarios.
I can assure you that nothing is going to happen. You think computers think like you. People are selfish, power crazy, greedy.
What do you think a computer is going to do with that power? End life on Earth? Then what will computers do? You’ve just taken away their sole purpose which is to assist mankind. They have no arms and legs. They’re not going to high–five when they have all the power. They can’t procreate. They don’t date. They don’t watch TV. They don’t have sex. They don’t covet thy neighbor’s possession or wife. There is no benefit to them if mankind disappeared. Only a total sense of loss.
Do you imagine they will go out and take a walk in the park and smell the air which will be fresher if man is gone?
Maybe they’ll get together and watch (reruns) of football? Have a few beers to shake off the stress from the office?
Get a grip on yourself. Bad news sells, that’s why you constantly hear about the doomsday scenarios. Fear sells.
Stay focused on UFOs if you need an outlet for your imagination.
He’s another fear for you…what happens if an alien civilization learns of us here on earth? Well, they could kill us all, take our natural resources. Of course they would. They just traveled 5 billion light years using technology a thousand years more advanced than what we have. The only possible reason aliens would come to Earth is if they are curious about us.
