The American public—and nearly all news organizations—have dangerously underestimated Donald Trump. While much of the discourse centers on his policies, we must recognize that his policies are only a means to an end. The true objective is pain, suffering, humiliation, and death.
The problem lies in not seeing what Donald Trump is. He is not a human being, not by any definition a sociologist or psychiatrist uses. He exhibits patterns of sociopathy and sadism, as documented by mental health professionals. His actions reveal a profound disregard for human dignity. He is driven by a desire to inflict harm and chaos. His leadership style is pathological, not just partisan.
Allow me to provide just one example of misplaced thinking. Many say that Donald Trump mishandled the COVID crisis. That is patently untrue. He “handled” it perfectly. He caused the maximum amount of suffering and death.
Most believe he chose his advisors for their loyalty. But that is not correct. He chose them for their ability to inflict suffering.
His thinking and cravings and needs filter down to all those in his administration. Trump’s disease of hate, anger and criminality has taken over the bodies and minds of people who also have no soul, no honesty, no empathy left in them.
Many Americans, regardless of political affiliation, are looking ahead to 2028, assuming that the end of Trump’s influence is inevitable. This assumption is not only naive—it is catastrophically wrong.
There will be no election in 2028.
Donald Trump has laid meticulous plans to ensure it. There should be no doubt that he will call on the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, the Three Percenters, and the Boogaloo Bois to execute coordinated attacks, planting bombs in key government buildings across state capitals just before the November 5th elections. Trump will then exploit the chaos to declare martial law and suspend the election entirely. His legal authority to do so is dubious at best, but as history has shown, legality has never constrained his actions.
January 6, 2021, was the work of an amateur who did not understand the limits of his power and the mechanisms of government. Since then, the Supreme Court has granted him total immunity from any act he orders or does personally from prosecution. Today, five years later, Trump is no longer a novice. He has surrounded himself with enablers who not only execute his will but educate him on how to push the boundaries of his authority to the breaking point.
What we are seeing is a prelude, a snippet of what will occur in October / November of 2028. To see the present as anything but a trial run is flawed logic or wishful thinking.
If we do not act, November 2028 could mark the end of democracy in America.
The only way to prevent this outcome is to expose Trump’s plans now. We must warn the public about what is coming. My book lays bare the threat we face and provides a roadmap for resistance. The survival of our democracy depends on our willingness to confront this danger head-on.
