“Carol Wayne appeared over 100 times as the “Matinee Lady” on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She regularly participated in one of Carson’s recurring sketches known as “The Tea Time Movies.” Carson played the lecherous character “Art Fern” who would make references to Carol’s ample bosom while she was the ditsy blonde who missed all of the not so subtle innuendoes.
She died mysteriously in Manzanillo Mexico on January 13, 1985. No one was ever charged with the crime. Now, for the first time, the crime is solved and the murderer exposed.
